FIREFLY Car Rental at Cape Town Airport

When you arrive at Cape Town Airport, you want to remember to collect your luggage before exiting the baggage claim area to locate Firefly’s rental car desk. At CPT most car rental companies have desks located in front of the Transport Plaza and Central Terminal Building in a separate facility. Helpful information when renting a Firefly vehicle at Cape Town Airport

The minimum age to rent a vehicle with Firefly at CPT is 18. The renter must provide a valid, unendorsed local or international driver’s license at the time of rental and the driver’s license must be carried at all times while driving in accordance with South African laws.

Besides providing the driver’s license, renters must also provide a credit card in their own name, and international visitors are required to provide a valid passport as well.

Additional drivers can be added to the rental agreement at a fee, per driver and per rental vehicle, and only approved additional drivers are allowed to drive the rented Firefly vehicle.

Returning your rented Firefly vehicle at Cape Town Airport

Vehicles are delivered with a full tank and you can choose to refuel the tank before returning the rental car or you can let Firefly fill it up for you after you have returned the car. Check with Firefly for cost differences.
