FIRST Car Rental at Cape Town Airport

Once you have collected your luggage from the baggage claim area upon your arrival at Cape Town International Airport, please proceed out of the arrivals hall and the terminal building and follow the car rental signs to First Car Rental Office. Most rental car companies at Cape Town Airport are located in a separate facility which is reached through the two pedestrian subways on the sides of the terminal building.

Helpful information when renting a First vehicle at Cape Town Airport

To rent a car with First at CPT you should be at least 23 years of age and have held a valid South African or international driver’s license for a minimum of 2 years prior to the time of rental. If your license is international you also need to provide your valid passport, and if the license is in another language other than English an official translation of your license is required. All renters must also provide a valid credit card and the booking voucher. All documents are required to be in the name of the renter and main driver.

Additional drivers can be added to the rental agreement for an additional fee provided that they meet the requirements and are present at the time of collection.

Please consult with First for instructions on how and where to return your rental car at the airport.
